You won't be able to change your plan during the policy period, however you may choose to upgrade or downgrade your plan when it is due for renewal in 1 year's time.
If you choose to upgrade your plan, health conditions that you have made a claim for previously, will have the same vet medical limit as your previous plan. The limit for other unexpected diseases and injuries will follow your new plan.
For an example:
If for the first year plan, you are on Dog Basic (Vet Medical Limit: RM3,500)
You have claimed for multiple treatments for pancreatic condition during the term of your first year policy.
At time of renewal, you choose to upgrade to Dog Plus (Vet Medical Limit: RM5000)
Your Plan Limits will follow:
For illnesses/accidental injuries you have claimed before i.e. pancreatis
- Claim Limit: RM3,500
For illnesses/accidental injuries you have not claimed before
- Claim Limit: RM5,000
However, you can still only claim up to RM5,000 for the second year policy.
