We are happy to hear that your fur baby is insured! And to answer your question, you CAN switch over to us if you prefer :) You may switch to Oyen either upon renewal or if you cancel your existing policy with MSIG.
Here are some things you should know before making the switch:
- You will be considered a new pet owner when you make the switch to Oyen. So, this means a 30-day waiting period will be effective from the start date of your policy.
- Your policy with us will follow all of Oyen's policy terms and conditions. We would encourage you to thoroughly review all the terms about coverage, exclusions & and eligibility before considering the switch; i.e. difference in benefits (No death benefit, advertising, and boarding kennels)
- Any conditions that your pet has and was treated for before (that you may have claimed with MSIG directly) will be considered pre-existing conditions, which will not be covered (even if the pets didn’t have the condition before start date of your first insurance with MSIG)
