How do I claim under my Oyen Pet Insurance claim and how long does it take?

Before you start the claim process, please ensure:

  1. You've uploaded your pet's vaccination card 
  2. You've updated your pet's microchip number (only required for dogs)
  3. You've updated your bank account information

Key Terms & Conditions for Claims:

  1. It's advisable to submit your claim within 7 days of the incident. However, you have up to 30 days to complete your claim.
  2. The first symptom date should not fall within the 30-day waiting period.

How to submit a claim:

  1. Login to your Oyen account here: Login page
  2. On your dashboard, click on Claim your bills, and then click on the pet you wish to make a claim for Screenshot 2023-09-11 at 4.57.59 PM

  4. Complete the form with as many information as possible:
    1. Name of clinic & doctor you visited
    2. Date of first symptom & treatment
    3. Amount of final vet bill
    4. Upload supporting documents (itemised vet bills, medical reports, photos, and receipts)
    5. Answer additional questions: provide information on the cause and description of the situation which you're claiming 
  5. After submitting, you'll receive an acknowledgement email confirming that we've received your claim.

What's next?

  1. Your claim will undergo a review, typically completed in 3-4 weeks.
  2. Our team may reach out if further information is needed.
  3. You will be informed of any updates via email/ your Oyen dashboard.
